you do that? the sunshine is making a big comeback. that is the big weather headline of the day. finally after a big streak of cloudy and cool days, the sunshine came back yesterday afternoon and it will stick around. temperatures have been very cool, a 10-20 degrees below average. you will finally see a weekend war up. the next call from does not come until tuesday. -- warm up. we are starting off with clear skies and 43 degrees at reagan national. 37 in gaithersburg. 44 in annapolis. lexington park has 44 degrees as well. temperatures should make it into the middle or upper 50's by this afternoon. very little out there other than blue skies and sunshine. finally, looking forecast.

expensive on inauguration day. there are considering a surcharge for extra passengers. it will be allowed a $1 fee for each additional passenger after the first one. this will be the first time they will be allowed to charge an added fee during an inauguration. >> police are searching for five men behind a shooting in southeast. a man was shot at around 11:00 in the 3100 block of blend of the step terrace. we do not know his condition or what led up to-that to- bueno vista terarance. >> a passenger on flight 662 from denver would not follow instructions for landing. other passengers said the man was yelling, would not sit down, and started crying in the aisle. >> they had to restrain his hands and legs. -- he started prayin gin the aisle.

recovering from sandy still cleaning up after another storm. >> heavy snow white the power to thousands of people across the northeast. railroads were shut down. people in low-lying areas evacuate it again. some saw more than a foot of snow. >> and in the aftermath of sandy, a new gas rationing plan is taking effect. police will be at gas stations and forcing the system. license plates that and with even numbers can buy gasoline on even numbered days. cars with odd numbers gas on odd numbered days. chris chris the recently enacted a similar plan that cut down the wait time attestation significantly. >> i had a friend who said yesterday the gas lines were blocks long. hopefully things start to get better now that the plan is in

frederick. here is what is left of the nor'easter. it has lost a lot of energy. it is pulling out toward the canadian maritime. maybe a little snow and northern maine, but everyone else will see sunshine. high pressure pushing into the region. this will be the dominating feature the next couple of days. winds out of the northwest, but it will slide of to the east the next couple of days and bring in the flow. here is a huge storm system today in the intermountain west. we could see 16 inches of snow. we will get some rain by tuesday. mostly sunny skies today, a little bit warmer. tonight expecting clear skies cold temperatures, 30-37. mostly sunny and a 63 saturday.

it is loosening its grip. parts of maine will see cloud cover and maybe a little snow but that is it. around here, skies are clear. it keeps us on the cool side. 43 degrees is our temperature at a reagan national. 37 at dulles gaithersburg, and frederick. 32 in winchester. culpeper at 30 degrees. yesterday we hit a high of 56 and our low was 40. you can see we were still well below normal. 61 is the average high and 43 the average low. we will be in the ballpark for the lows, the highs are cool. look at this bubble of warm air. that will be heading our way. we do have a northerly wind. that will keep us on the cold side. that will shift off to the east as we approach the weekend. winds coming out of the south
